OT and Pharmacy Students Join Forces to Tackle the Administration of Cannabis Oil
Saint Joseph’s occupational therapy and pharmacy students teamed up to analyze the accuracy and usability of a new cannabis oil dispenser, potentially helping millions of patients suffering from illnesses avoid overdose.
Saint Joseph’s Institute of Clinical Bioethics (ICB), its Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) and its School of Education and Human Development (SEHD) will be working arm in arm with the University’s Center for Addiction and Recovery Education (CARE) to build out three proposed opioid remediation programs in Delaware County using the funds.
Members of Saint Joseph’s physical therapy program supported adaptive athletes at the annual Life Rolls On event at the Jersey Shore, and alumna Jeffy Mathew ’19 (DPT) volunteered in Berlin at the World Games.
Nabila Enam, OTD, and Christopher Yang, DrOT USP ’14 ’16 (OTD), are treating disordered sleep using highly effective, holistic approaches based in mindfulness. Join the Nation’s First Pharmacy School
The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) is where modern pharmacy started. Since its founding in 1821 as the first college of pharmacy in North America, names like McNeil, Lilly, Wyeth — founders of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world — and many others have launched their careers here. Today, it’s home to programs in pharmacy (PharmD), pharmaceutical sciences, and pharmacology and toxicology, continuing the tradition of excellence with our hands-on approach.
