Fitness & Recreation

Looking for a way to stay healthy and active between classes? Check out our indoor basketball courts, fitness centers, pools and group fitness classes, or engage in some friendly competition by signing up for club sports and intramural athletics.

Student Health Center

Our Student Health Center staff treats every patient with respect and equality. Every student gets unlimited visits to take advantage of health and wellness services ranging from strep throat treatment to sprained ankle care.

Our early arrival programs help incoming freshmen make the leap from high school to college life. Events and activities include immersive service opportunities, mentorship and presentations by special-interest student groups.

Saint Joseph’s students have each other’s back. Our SOAR (Students Offering Advice and Resources) program connects freshmen with upperclassmen for valuable, lasting mentorships.

Campus Safety

Your safety is important to us. Saint Joseph’s maintains a high level of security, from maintaining well-lit campuses to working closely with local police to providing extensive shuttle service on and around our two campuses.

Health & Well-Being Resources

  • In spring 2021, Saint Joseph’s expanded its commitment to students in recovery by offering an on-campus residential that builds community and supports active recovery. Learn more about the Recovery Residence at Hogan Hall.

  • CAPS promotes the psychological wellness of all Saint Joseph’s students with therapeutic services and more. You may reach them at 610-660-1090.

  • Members of the Saint Joseph's community are encouraged and expected to report any suspicious or criminal activities to the Office of Public Safety. You may reach them at 610-660-1111.

  • There is support for all members of our community facing issues of sexual misconduct. Anyone wishing to report an act of sexual misconduct can contact the Title IX Coordinator at 610-660-1145. Confidential support is also available 24 hours via the Rape Education and Prevention Program (REPP) peer helpline. You may reach them at 610-773-9650.

  • SO&S supports students and helps to access resources when facing difficult personal or family situations including mental health concerns, substance use or issues of sexual misconduct. You may reach them at 610-660-1149.
